Sermons

From September through to May each year we follow texts in the Bible that highlight the sweep of the biblical story, from Creation through to the early Christian church.

This year we begin in the early chapters of Genesis, then will move through the story of God acting through Israel’s early history, the exodus, kings and prophets, exile and return.  Once we arrive at Christmas we will be reading through the Gospel of John until Easter, and from Easter to Pentecost messages are chosen from the Book of Acts and Paul’s letters.

The texts show the breadth and variety of voices within the bible. They invite us to hear the stories of Abraham and Sarah, Moses and the prophets, Jesus, and Paul.

From the beginning of June to the end of August of each year, we then delve deeper into the Bible with a sermon series looking at specific books of the Bible.

Why not come along for the journey, and see what you discover about God, about others, about the world and about yourself.
